Rental laws for Dubai property

Many big real estate projects and various other development projects are going on in Dubai and so naturally a lot of people are moving to Dubai. Usually these people stay in rented homes. If you are one such person then it is very important for you to first know the changes in the rental law in Dubai to avoid troubles.

Rentals of Dubai properties have increased considerably in the last few years. The current rentals are exhorting too, but the new rental laws state that the rent of Dubai property cannot be increased by more than 5% of the lease price. The Dubai property agent who helps you to get the property for rent is to be paid a 5% commission.

The law states that you cannot alter the rented property without the permission of the landlord. The lease is usually signed for one year and the whole rent is paid before the tenant move into the property. The contract can increase after a year if the parties so please.

In case of a dispute the Dubai Rental Committee takes the responsibility of resolving issues. It is, however, being expected that the rental laws of Dubai property will soon be up for a change in favour of the tenants.

As the number of people moving into Dubai is increasing, the government wants to ensure that the new rental laws are capable of dissolving the issues between the landlords and tenants.
