The Palm - Deira
Palm Deira Is the latest and final of the Palm Islands to be launched.
Palm Deira is much larger than either of the other two Palms and once completed will be approximately the same size as Manhattan. An additional 400 kilometres of coast line will be added to the existing Dubai shoreline. Palm Deira will be a leisure, residential and tourist development, featuring world class hotels, shopping malls, sports facilities, various marinas and restaurants.
Similar in shape to the Jumeirah and Jebel Ali Palms, Palm Deira will be constructed in the form of a palm tree and will consist of a crescent, crown and trunk. The crescent breakwater will be 21 kilometres long, making it the longest in the world. There will be a total of 41 fronds, varying in length. Palm Deira will offer residents a choice of 7,820 villas in various styles.
